Petition against Harford County Bill No. 07-44

Dear Council Member:





This message is to encourage you to vote against Council Member Chenowith's Bill No. 07-44, regarding the use of off-road vehicles on properties less than 5 acres in size.





I feel that this bill is unnecessary and unfair. It is unnecessary because we already have noise ordinances in place that address any disturbances made by any vehicle or device, and it is simply not fair for the thousands of responsible children and adults that enjoy using small recreational vehicles on their properties under 5 acres in size.





There are thousands of Harford County residents (both adults and children) that enjoy the responsible use of recreational vehicles on their property. There are even handicapped individuals that use these vehicles as a form of mobility on their properties. There are even senior citizens that run their dogs using these vehicles.





Manufacturers have improved the efficiency and also lowered the noise ratings of these vehicles, so that they would be more appealing to consumers.





I would greatly appreciate your consideration in voting against this bill. I believe the saying goes, "Let's keep Harford Rural!" Harford's rural heritage and freedom is a piece of Harford County that we cannot lose. We have already lost too much of Harford County to Developers, lets not lose another freedom that we all enjoy, or as I would like to consider another piece of that American pie!
