We, the undersigned, call on Lewisham Planning Department to reject this highly detrimental application for Planning Permission Ref: DC/11/78332/X : "The change of use of the ground floor at 76-78 Honor Oak Park SE23 to Use Class A5 (Hot food takeaway), together with the installation of a new shopfront at No 76, installation of new door at 78 and extract duct/air compressors to the rear at No 78."
The Old Bank shop front is a historically important Victorian building which has barely changed for nearly 120 years. To convert the unit into a Domino’s Pizza takeaway chain affords no aesthetic consideration to the high street and sets a poor precedent in a local area where significant efforts for improved aesthetics and gentrification have already been undertaken by all other recent additions to the parade.
