Petition for a Bachelors degree at Palm Beach State College in Human Services/Social Work

The undersigned propose that the District Board of Trustees of Palm Beach State College undertake the process to establish a Bachelors of Social Work at The College. The Human Services program at Palm Beach State College has seen an increase in enrollment, and many of these students would remain in a four year program at Palm Beach State College, should the option be available to them. Additionally, with the economy in its current state, not only would students in a social work program, such as the Human Services program, benefit from the more affordable tuition at Palm Beach State College, but the college would retain revenues that historically have transferred out with the students to institutions like Florida Atlantic, Nova and Barry Universities.
