We the residents of New Orleans request a ban on Polystyrene food containers here in the city limits. Below are some of our reasons and alternatives:
Foam products are not biodegradable
When littered the material is detrimental to wildlife that ingests it
Wish to encourage paper containers that are biodegradable and more easily recyclable
Polystyrene production can be very damaging to Earth's ozone layer.
