Petition to Make Shelters Accountable for Financial Donations

The following is a petition to make ALL shelters that accept donations from the public to be accountable for how much they are given, and how it is spent. There are many bird rescues out there that take in money from the public, but refuse to disclose amounts and where it is spent. By regulating rescues, and making them accountable to the public that supports them, we can make sure that donations are being spent on the birds. The primary goal in a rescue is the care of the birds, and by making shelters report income and expenditure, the public can see where their donations are being spent.
