Petition to uphold the Second Amendment in its Entirety.

We, the people of these United States, hereby petition Congressmen and women to support the Second Amendment of our Constitution fully, and request that they not agree to nor sign any legislation that would intrude further upon those rights.

While we understand that there are multiple ways to approach this issue, we feel that it is in the peopleвs best interests to remain capable in the defense of our homes, families, and selves. Currently there are laws, which prevent the legal purchase of handguns by criminals, as well as requiring those who would legally carry a defensive firearm concealed. We are not against possible mandates that would require better training and certification, however, we are not willing to allow laws to be passed restricting what, and how we arm ourselves for that protection. Our Second Amendment clearly outlines that we be allowed that right, our nations Supreme Court has also recently upheld that right of the people to defend themselves with firearms in the recent ruling District of Columbia v. Heller. While we as citizens of this country understand that, there must be some laws; Our concern is that we will lose those rights fully at some point in the future. It is our sincerest desire that the esteemed Congressmen and women will not entertain in any way legislation that is contrary to current legislation allowing us these rights fully. We feel that it is important so that we are able to support the esteemed Congressmen and women in the furtherance of their career's as representative's of the Constituents of these United States of America.
