Please abolish the $2 levy for banks accounts less than $500

Dear director of DBS/POSB,





























We are concerned about the $2 levy per month charged on accounts less than $500. You justify the levy to prevent the middle class people from holding double accounts, but you failed to take into account that this levy is likey to affect the low income group of people. The fact is that many of those accounts below $500 are held by poor or sick people who have problems saving up their accounts to more than $500. We believe it is ethnically wrong to penalise the poor people to enrich the pockets of the rich bank executives. It is heartening to see those poor peoples' bank accounts depreciate and being wiped out at $24 a year.
