Please Help NC's Homeless Animals & No-Kill Shelters

The new Animal Welfare Act regulations recently approved by the Department of Agriculture will force private shelters to exhaust their resources not on animal care, but on large-scale and unnecessary facility renovations. The net effect will be to force most if not all to close their doors, resulting in an increase in already alarming euthanasia rates.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the North Carolina Legislature investigate this matter and return control of animal welfare to the counties who already have animal welfare statues, cruelty investigators and animal control departments available to regulate and partner with local rescue groups.
