Pro Gay Marriage

George W. Bush. His religious biases are getting in the way of millions of people in the united stayes. Don't gay couples have just as much of the right to be happy as anyone straight couple? I know many of you out there think this is the right thing to do, that God says "A man shall not lay with another man". But your religion is not the point. Religion and politics are kept seperate for a reason. Just as a Christian has as much right to believe in Jesus, as a Wiccan can believe in the spirit of the Earth. Straight couples have the right to marry, and so should gay couples. I ask you, if you were told that Gay was the only way to be, and were refused the right to marry your husband/wife because of this, wouldn't you stand up and fight? Wouldn't you say something? Would you say that, that goes against everything out Country stands for? Do you really want our whole country to change so drastically because of one mans religious beliefs? You may think, that this is the right choice, but it is not. Our founding fathers said we have the right of persuing happiness. I know a lot of you are religious people out there, and you think that gay people are wrong, and should have their marriages banned, but what if the tables were turned. What if Gays were persecuting you for being straight. How would you feel then? Put your feet in their shoes. Please sign this petition to stop the banning of gay marriages!
