Property Tax

People who live in homes without paying their property taxes do not deserve the right to live in that home. There are people that have not paid taxes since 1985 and still living in the house. Now the state holds the lean on all these properties. You have people all over the state that are willing to pay the back taxes in order to have a home to live in. The only thing is we have to wait 3 years before we can take possession of the property. This is not right. And the owner of property has the right to buy the property back plus 12\% interest. But if they are not going to pay they taxes while they live there for years what makes the state think that they are going to come back and pay at any time in the 3 years we have to wait. This law needs to be changed. We should be able to take possession of the property as soon as we pay the back taxes and get the paper work transferred into our name. There is no since in us having to wait 3 years for something that we are willing to pay for that someone else is living in for free. I know I am not the only one with this problem. So if you want to get something done with this law, please sign and let's get this changed.
