We the concerned public, BC Residents and Valemount Area Stakeholders submit this in response to the recently announced Ministry of Forest and Range Section 58 closures as part of the Valemount to Blue River Winter Recreation Sustainable Resource Management Plan (SRMP).
We are against any government closures of public backcountry recreation lands that restrict public access for the protection and benefit of commercial recreation interests. We strongly urge you to reverse this decision and protect public access.
Thank you for your immediate attention and consideration in this important matter affecting every public land user, recreationalist, tourist and related business in British Columbia and perhaps even Canada well into the future.
