Plainly in the United States Constitution we are to be protected from such crimes by our government. Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution charges the government with the responsibility of protecting its citizens from domestic violence. Further the Fourth Amendment states The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and persons or things to be seized. It is very clear that in this case of Hope Steffey the very government charged with the protection of her person violated her civil rights.
We the People of the United States of America demand that this be thoroughly investigated, and all participants be held accountable. The functionality of the Stark County Sheriff's department is certainly in question along with the ability of Timothy Swanson (Sheriff) to properly insure that the civil servants working under his leadership follow civil law, and local policy.
It is abundantly clear that Law Enforcement in this country is employing excessive force, and other civil rights violations with impunity. We The People demand this to cease. We are a society with rights , and freedoms, not a police state where Law Enforcement has its way with the people. We the people expect this matter to be fully investigated, as with any future violations of this nature.
