Reinstate the Alberta Front License Plate

We the undersigned petition the Government of Alberta to reinstate the requirement to display front license plates on all passenger vehicles registered in the province.
We understand that there will be an extra cost to supply the second plate, but we feel these costs are insignificant when it comes to improved public safety. Some of the benefits of having the front plate are breifly explained below.

Vehicles travelling on snow covered or muddy roads often have the rear plate obscured, while the front one would usually be visible, identifying vehicles who donot stop for school buses that have their lights activated,when approaching from the front,better identification of vehicles that are stolen, or commiting crimes etc., reflective plates on the front of vehicles make them easier to see at night if they are broken down on country roads.

Law enforcement and bus drivers need the front plates to keep our streets and communities safe. Lets improve safety for everyone.
