Upon learning that a Casting Director was fired because of the claim made by Naz Humphreys, that she was discriminated against in a recent extras casting for "The Hobbit", because her skin tone was not "light enough" and she did not fit the "character breakdown". Although WingNut Films claim the description of "fair skin" was not stipulated in their character description, I am sure the Casting Director in mention has made an intelligent and professional assumption based on your script and character assessment. After all isnt that what you pay them for? If the Casting Director rolled up with 100 white/black/brown/yellow Hobbits on filming day I'm sure you would have sacked them anyway, then blown your budget because you had to recast while in principal photography. I appreciate our social advancement and now multicultural societies, however I would find it hard to believe that the Shire has experienced such social and cultural evolution.
I would like to inform you that I and the other petitioners herein, on behalf of the fired Casting Director and sane humanity, will be boycotting the release of "The Hobbit" unless this Casting Director is reinstated with an apology!
