As loyal fans of the San Diego Chargers, we the undersigned ask that you take necessary action to replace C.S. Keys as Co-host of the San Diego Chargers Power Report.
This Petition in no way impugns the character, professional expertise, or due respect for Mr. Keys as a person or a professional. His abilities within his chosen profession are without question and his skills are considered of the highest order.
It is, however, considered offensive and disrespectful to endure an avowed Oakland Raiders advocate Co-hosting a television show dedicated to the San Diego Chargers and their fans.
Mr. C.S. Keys has openly made verbal, on-air, bets with Co-host Billy Ray Smith when the Chargers have played the Raiders in season games. Mr. Keys bets for the Raiders against the Chargers. He then praises the Raiders if they win, or expresses disappointment if the Chargers win.
Additionally, Mr. Keys has expressed negative comments toward the Chargers following team wins and projects as less than sincere when offering congratulations to Chargers Coaches or players during the show.
He makes no apparent effort to genuinely promote the San Diego Chargers and by his declared support of the Oakland Raiders, is communicating encouragement to the Raider fans within the listening area.
Based on his stated admiration of the Oakland Raiders, he has no credibility as a voice for the San Diego Chargers.
As a result of these obvious biases, the fans of the San Diego Chargers strongly object to an Oakland Raiders patriot having license over such an important fan medium as the Chargers Power Report. We the undersigned, consider this Co-host insulting and impertinent to the San Diego Chargers organization, players, fans, and sponsors. Please take appropriate action to rectify this situation.
