Remove subtitles from Japanese anime!

We, the undersigned, are requesting of all major American importers of Japanese animation that subtitling no longer be used on their videos. Now, as a fan of Japanese animartion, myself, one might wonder why I am opposed to subtitling. The reasons are many, but at the core, is the simple fact that few fans of subtitled anime are capable of writing at even a basic level of literacy.

I think it a sadly telling fact that most of the fans that scream the loudest about how much they hate English dubbing can't even apply the most basic level of English. Given that the common denominator among all of these fans is the fact that they seem to favor subtitled animation, I think the source of the problem is obvious.

Also, the creators of the animation had never intended for the entire bottom half of the screen to be covered up with words. They distract from the action far too much, and honestly, the subtitled translation is not any closer to the original Japanese than the English dubbed version.
