Renew Skins US for a Second Season

MTV is currently making the decision about whether to renew Skins US for a second season. Throughout its first season, Skins US has received solid ratings and an upwardly trending critical reception. However, it has also lost advertisers, due to a smear campaign perpetrated by a conservative watchdog group called the Parents Television Council, who claim the show is too graphic for teens. These claims do not represent what the show is about. Skins US creates compelling characters and tells strong narratives about the gritty reality of teen life. Skins US deserves second season.
