This is a protest from the National Union of Journalists members in
Rivermedia at the proposed pay cuts. After drastic cuts to employee
levels, and resources, further cuts are unreasonable and unacceptable.
A pay cut is a change to our existing Terms and Conditions of
employment and cannot be implemented without agreement. We object to
any unauthorised deduction from our wages as this is prohibited under
the Payment of Wages Act.
