Whereas by keeping the GSA computer labs open from 5pm to 11pm, costs 9\% (or 8\%) of GSA Budget annually.
Whereas putting the word "Only" behind "8\%" does not have that much effect on devaluing this amount and this "Only 8\%" is still one out of 10 of what we have for our non-academic student activities.
Whereas a little fraction of the graduate student (much less than the \%8-\%9 budget consumption percentage) take benefit of the labs during these extera hours.
Whereas all Concordia students has moderate access to computers all over school including library computers and the public computer lab in Hall building.
Whereas most of graduate students have access to the departmental computer labs including all ENCS and JMSB, Mathematics, Physics, History etc students.
Whereas it is the fault of students who has departmental computer lab that other students do not have computers and they should not pay to provide other students with computers.
Whereas it is the Concordia University responsibility to provide quality computer access for its students and it not a priority duty of GSA.
Whereas with saving 8\%-9\% of GSA budget, GSA can commit more to its main duty such as providing live interactive graduate student community.
Whereas computers by no mean can warm up the interaction between graduate students of Concordia.
We call upon the GSA council (GSA) to insist on their decision for reduction in operating hours of the GSA.
