Save Knockmore Post Office

There is disbelief and anger in Knockmore over news that has emerged today that the village is to lose it’s post office from the 1st of May (which has been in existence since 1842!). The popular postmaster in Knockmore is to retire and an post are not seeking any expressions of interest from people in the locality, rather it’s advising that people can use post offices in Foxford or Ballina. An Post have just announced that the Post Office in Knockmore is to close within a matter of weeks! There has been NO notice, NO consultation & NO tender process to allow others in the parish to potentially provide this necessary service into the future! Show your support to reverse this crazy decision. The people of Knockmore need a Post Office of their own. This has been a strong, well supported an profitable business in the past. It is absolutely vital that the service be maintained in Knockmore Village for the people of the parish.
