Save Lt Aiden Ford

We the fans of the popular SciFi series Stargate Atlantis would like to thank the creators, producers, writers and the actors and actress who bring this show alive for us each week as we intensely enjoy and love the show! However, we would also like to express our detestation for the recent development in making Lt. Aiden Ford portrayed by Rainbow Sun Francks into a recurring character. The show is still in it's infancy, this is a very crucial time for the shows development and finding and keeping a loyal fan base whhich as you know is important in getting and maintaining excellent ratings.

Aside from the incredible ratings the show has received, there have been a multitude of negative comments that have come about within the first 10 episodes of the show. The one that's most prevalent is the fans have felt slighted in never getting the opportunity to know Lt. Aiden Ford.
All of the other actors/characters have been given major storylines and the opportunity to showcase what they can or cant do, some receiving great praise from the fans as well as a multitude of complaints for their efforts, yet they are still in place. Its interesting and somewhat confusing as to why the one character who has been slighted is the one thats being scaled back and replaced.

With each episode, we the fans have expressed on various message boards including the official ones, that we'd like to see more of Lt. Aiden Ford! Weve never been given he opportunity to get to know the character or see what the actor can do! Keeping this in mind, how can you possibly take the character from us and replace him with someone else?

TV shows are produced with the fans in mind with the hope that each episode will keep us interested and bring us back for the next episode. We the loyal fans of the show are disappointed and saddened by this recent development and ask that you to reconsider this decision! Its unfair and unwanted in this early stage of the show to remove and replace any of the cast, let alone a still undeveloped character and replace him with another!
Please, give the actor and character another chance!
