At the end of March 2012 Peterhouse Residential Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre is set to close due to the withdrawal of funding from Supporting People (Bedford) and the subsequent decision of 'Places for People' to withdraw support too.
Started by the Magistrates and Parole Office 23 years ago this Beacon of hope, for all people struggling with alcohol dependency issues, is the only one of it's kind in the Bedfordshire area. As countless peoples lives have been saved and their loved ones lives made bearable by this extraordinary organisation we are petitioning the Bedford 'Supporting People' and 'Places for People' to reconsider their arguably hasty decision to deny the many needy.
With it's holistic approach to rehabilitation, Peterhouse has succeeded where numerous projects and schemes have failed.
Bedford and Bedfordshire needs Peterhouse now more than ever, so please show your support by signing our petition.
