Save Swansea Greyhound Stadium.
Due to recent findings that Swansea City Council may not be looking at renewing the current lease on Swansea Greyhound Stadium which ends September 2010 many patrons of the stadium would like to show their interest by a petition which we hope will highlight that losing the stadium will have a negative affect throughout its patrons and visitors.
The council has earmarked the land for industrial development but nothing has been finalised as yet.
If we can show strong support in the interest in keeping the stadium open as the track draws in tourist, families and not forgetting it is the home of the Welsh Greyhound Derby. The track has always been a large part of the community and would be sadly missed.
A large concern of track closure would be the welfare and homing of many greyhounds linked to the stadium and their future would be uncertain unlike their present care with loving families and dog lovers.
