In light of recent state budget issues, Fort Humboldt State Park has announced that the steam locomotive program is cancelled for 2009. We, the citizens of Humboldt County, believe that steam-ups are an integral part of the history of this area. Please sign this petition to make clear to the park system that railroad history is important to the residents of Humboldt County. This free event is a part of our local culture and community. Please help us save the 2009 steam-up season. Visit http://steam-ups.blogspot.com for more information.
