Save the Springbok

The Springbok is a treasured symbol of excellence not only in South Africa, but one which is revered worldwide. It carries with it a century long legacy that is deeply entrenched in South African rugby, and was used by Mr.Mandela more recently to bind and unify our nation. However, that said, present day politicians seek to divide us, to erase every trace of our proud legacy and destroy South African rugby, and use the Springbok as a political weapon to scythe through the very fabric of our cultural bonds. The impact of which is so catastrophic that it extends far beyond the realm of mere sport. With this petition, we can voice our dissatisfaction at the current regime running our sport, and the political power behind it. We can for once show them that we will not be divided, we will not be pushed around or used as political pawns, and that the Springbok belongs to the people as a symbol of excellence by which we derive national esteem and unity.
