People of Pakistan would like to file a formal complaint to the ICC about cricket umpire David Shepard for wrongly giving out Pakistani batsmen Inzimam-ul-Haq and Yousuf Youhana during the Videocon final match between Pakistan & Australia. This is not the first time Mr. Shepards incompetence have cost Inzimam his wicket. If players can be fined/banned for misconduct, over appealing or claiming a catch falsely then umpires should also be held to the same standard. We demand that Mr. Shepard issue a public apology to cricket crazy public of Pakistan, furthermore we ask that all the doubtful decisions be referred to the 3rd umpire to eliminate these kinds of incidents in the future. The two wrong decisions not only cost Pakistan the match and trophy but also would affect the confidence of the young team when they play Australia again in the near future. The least Mr. Shepard can do is issue an apology and maybe consider retiring from cricket umpiring if he can not perform his duties competently. The whole Pakistani nation would like to express their deep disappointment on such a low standard of umpiring and would like to appeal to other nations to join in hands with us to eliminate such incidents in future.
