New York City Council Members Jessica Lappin and Karen Koslowitz have introduced a bill that would create special penalties for food truck vendors who park illegally on the street. If the new law is passed, the Department of Health would have the authority to suspend a vending permit if a vendor receives 2 parking tickets within a 12 month period, or revoke a vending permit entirely if a vendor receives 3 parking tickets within a 12 month period.
