Stop small business takeovers.

Invision has sent a letter to a friend of mine, saying that they are going to persue legal actions against those who have a domain registered containing the word "Invision" in the name of the domain, or website. Their claim upon his site said that it infringes upon the 1999 Anti-Cybersquatting Act. Which states that a company who registers a trademark can obtain up to $100,000 from cybersquatters who register similar sounding company and/or domain names. It also says that any person(s) who registers the same or confusingly similar name may also be charged under civil actions.

We do not think that this is right and would like Invision Power Services, Inc. to be allowed to take over numerous websites and/or make any company change their name becuase the fact that their company name contians the word "Invision". As a result of the previous incident, I would like Owners, Members, Staff, and Customers, etc. who belong to or know of a site that contains the word "Invision" in the name, to join along side us, and petition with us against IPS, Inc. from trying to take over sites whos names contain "Invision".

In the past year of me being at NBSDesignz, I have witnessed IPS, Inc. go fully paid. Which set back a lot of business for sites providing resources for their product. Thus IPS, Inc. in my eyes has taken a lot of business away from those trying to make their product legally better by offering free styles, support, and modifications, etc... Since switching to a fully paid server, they have shut resource sites out. Thus the reason for so many resource sites closing. They are not being given the rightful opotunity to excel in the scripting community as they should be. Users put a lot of time into trying to make Invision products better and they keep getting shut out or shut down because Invision wont allow them to supprt their products.

I ask you to sign this petition as a Owner, User, Member, Customer, Staff Member, etc. of any website that uses a product of any bulletin board creator. We need to stop businesses from bossing people around. We need to stop big businesses from shutting the little businesses out. Most of all, we need to stop big businesses from trying to kill dreams and trying to stop others from exceeding in making a product better through add-ons and extra services, free or paid.
