To the Prime Minister, Government of India:
Hindus believe that the Rama Sethu (bridge between Dhanushkoti and Mannar) is built by Lord Rama as described in Ramayana and is a religious heritage with great value and is sacred to the Hindus. It is very painful to bring to the knowledge of Government of India that Rama Sethu is as holy as "Vatican to the Catholics" and "Mecca to the Muslims". The government making a statement that "Rama doesn't exist" is a sacrilegious statement by which the government has failed to understand the feelings and beliefs of the Hindus. Its ACTS these days are harsh towards the Indians in particular Hindus. The Indian government has been suppressing the Hindus (supposed to be Majority Indians) for decades since Independence which has been tolerated by the Hindus.
We petition the Government of India to stop suppressing the Hindu beliefs and sentiments and stop the Sethusamudram project. We want the Government of India to apologize to the whole Nation and the Hindus World wide and immediately revert their statements unconditionally.
