Dear Mr Kevin Rudd,
We are writing to you as a very disappointed Australians.
We are ineligible for the economic stimulus bonus that is currently being paid to Australians.
How is it fair that someone who earns 100k a year is eligible and people who are struggling and earning 13k a year is ineligible?! What help are you giving us? Ok so we are unemployed...offen this is not by choice. What about all of us who are studying part time who apply for jobs every fortnight and still get nothing?! How is this Australian? Isn't the moral of every Australian to give each other a fair go?!
When is it going to be our turn to have a helping hand?
It is also important that you are aware that the advertising of this campaign made by the ATO has been misleading. Many people who paid tax throughout the year but then received a refund once lodging their return, have been under the impression they would receive the bonus.
It would be appreciated that when you next consider handing out an economic stimulus that you remember those of us who are in need of these packages first!
