As many studios have discovered the success of releasing classic television to DVD, we sign this petition in an effort to express our sincere interest as fans of The Munsters television series, starring Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, Yvonne De Carlo, Butch Patrick, and Beverly Owen/Pat Priest, to be released to the general public for purchase in DVD format. All 70 episodes, from 1964 to 1966, have touched new generations in syndication leaving fans wanting more from this original creation. Unfortunately, modern syndication does not allow for complete episodes to be broadcast in their entirety or additional features such as audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes photos, deleted scenes, scripts, or even an option to watch an episode with a special feature to allow you to access content relating to the scenes in real-time via pop-up graphics or prompts about the set, filming, bloopers, retakes, props, costumes, or special effects. For example, rumor has it that Al Lewis was somewhat of a jokester on the set, and that each episode was filmed with only one camera! In addition, the color pilot "My Fair Munster" would be a rewarding inclusion to this desirable DVD collection. Since 1964, The Munsters have remained a cult classic, and continue to gain new audiences and age groups. We, the Undersigned, believe that it is time for this ghoulish television classic to finally come home.
