Towards improving work environment at C-DOT

We, the staff of Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), New Delhi, seek attention and appropriate intervention towards improving deteriorating work environment in this premier research organisation of Govt of India.

1) Since we are not a manufacturing or time-shift based entity where productivity and performance can be guaranteed by imposing certain fixed work timings, unnecessary emphesis on adherence to this is spoiling the beautiful culture of C-DOT (See http://cdot.com/career/work_culture.htm )

The implementation of Access Control System need be reviewed in best interest of staff, instead of the vendor. Flexible working hours be introduced and respected.

2) The food and services at Canteen are not at par with the prestige of the organisation. The contractor is serving barely edible unhealthy food prepared in very unhygienic conditions, served with apathy.

Canteen contract be terminated with immediate effect.

3) Transport policies are not favourable to staff, instead rest on red tapism. The Campus, being so far away from city, require more employee friendly transport facilities, enabling them to work effeciently.

Transport policies be reviewed immediately.
