Turtle Island Peace Fountain Proposal

To: Mayor Tom Bates and the Berkeley City Council

We would like the city of Berkeley to take a good look at the Turtle Island Peace Fountain Proposal to determine if they agree with us that this proposal:

Beautifies the City
Expresses the Spirit of Berkeley
Inspires Charitable Giving
Enriches the Original Turtle Island Proposal
Maintains the Art Deco Motif
Demonstrates Green Technologies
Lowers Maintenance Costs

If the city then finds that they agree that this proposal would improve the current proposal in the ways outlined above then we ask the city to modify the current city plan to reflect the changes that are contained in this plan.

Once it is a part of the city plan the Berkeley Peace Fountain Foundation would like to partner with the city to raise funds and help finalize the design.

Let us take this step together to begin expressing peace from the heart of Berkeley.
