Underfunded Endangered Species Act

The Endangered Species Act (ESA) protects imperiled species from extinction that was caused by human activities. It has come under federal scrutiny lately. It is being decided if less money should be given to the act. The ESA is already underfunded by millions of dollars. There is a backlog of candidate species and critical habitat designations due to the lack of money given to the ESA. The purpose of this petition is to put pressure on the government to put more money into the Endangered Species Act.
