We're your neighbors. Protect the Riverfront!

We value the many ways Oregon Research Institute contributes to our community by providing meaningful employment and advancing science. We recognize that setbacks have left ORI without adequate facilities for many years. We want ORI to have a first-class building that serves the organization's needs for decades to come.

We believe that locating a building and approximately 2 acres of parking on the west end of the University's Riverfront Research Park will reduce the quality of life in Eugene, block safe and convenient access to the river, impede EWEB's redevelopment efforts, and harm ORI's positive reputation as an environmental leader and responsive member of our community.

We ask that ORI find another location for its research facility that serves both ORI and the needs of our community. Other sites are available that can be developed without controversy. Generations to come will be grateful that you had the vision to protect the riverfront.
