Thousands of people alike, OAPs, students, housewives, teachers and all love and know the Channel 4 teatime phenomenon that is Countdown with Richard Whiteleys puntastic humour and Carol Vordermans eccentric wit, one of the oldest and best game shows around has been undoubtedly a major success story since it became the first ever programme shown on Channel 4 in 1982. But now, the programmes fans are united in rage and uproar owing to your plain suicidal decision to bring the programme forward by an hour to 3.15pm, since many of them now cant get home in time to watch their favourite programme. (And surprisingly, theres not even a mention of the word cricket!) The move definitely looks as though its going to be a huge blunder by yourself, and the infuriated masses are now demanding that Countdown is brought back to its original time slot of 4.15pm, or else they plan to desert the channel in favour of The Woody Woodpecker Show and thats no joke! As an ex-Countdown contestant myself, I strongly stand by the vast majority of angry viewers and have there forth set up a petition in the hope of getting Countdown restored to its former glory, at the right place, at the right time (4.15pm)! So I am urging my fellow Countdowners to show their support and vent their frustration here, as not all of us agree with what your executive production bigwigs think!
