Suzuki has produced a new and refurbished LTZ 400 for 2005. One of the new features to the LTZ 400 is the magnesium clutch cover. This cover has started to corrode do to the type of anti-freeze that is being used and put in at the dealership. The corrosion is causing the anti-freeze to leak into the clutch area and contaminating the oil, the oil is then circulated through the motor and could possibly cause bearing failure. Suzuki is not excepting blame for this defect. Suzuki is informing owners of the LTZ 400 to take it to a dealer and have it looked at and if it is still under warranty they will fix the problem. This in turn is a temporary fix to the problem, if they continue to replace the cover with the same magnesium cover this will never end.

What about the individuals that didn't purchase the extended warranty? They are subject to an out of pocket expense with no hopes of being reimbursed.

We would like Suzuki to step up and except blame for the product and issue a recall for the clutch cover on the 2005 LTZ 400.
