A Call For Osama Abdullah To Step Down As Answering-Christianity.Com Webmaster

We are deeply concerned with the current quality of writings available at Answering-Christianity.Com, especially writings written by Mr. Osama Abdallah, owner and the webmaster of the aforementioned website. While we wish to note that we have respect for Mr. Osama Abdallah for his zeal and what he has done in this field of Al-Milal wa Al-Nihal (The Science of Religions and Para-Religions) or what is known today as Comparative Religion - being one of the early pioneers on the World Wide Web - we are deeply concerned about his lack of knowledge regarding basic Islamic aqeedah and aspects of Islamic fiqh (jurisprudence) to the extend that it borders on kufr.

Hence we wish to list the following in the hopes that Mr. Osama will acquiese to the following:

1. Mr. Osama should renounce the heretical beliefs contrary to the standing of the Ahl Sunnah Wal Jamaah and state publicly that those beliefs are wrong and amounts to kufr.

2. Mr. Osama should step down as Webmaster of Answering-Christianity.Com and hand it over to a committee of Muslim webmasters involved in Comparative Religion issues.

3. The commitee can consist of several leading Islamic websites dealing with issues in Comparativee Religion which we will not mentioned here.

4. Answering-Christianity.Com should be restructured and modified to reflect this new image and approval from the aforementioned commitee, as stated in point three.

5. Mr. Osama may contribute to this new entity if he so wishes or even retain control of the site, provided that he sticks to issues on Christianity and other religions and not speak on issues regarding aqeedah or fiqh of which he has no knowledge of.

We hope that Mr. Osama Abdallah will not be offended by this move to create this petition and our intention is only for the interest and betterment of the Ummah. May Allah help us all.
