Aberdeen City Council is in the process of moving from St Nicholas House to the amazing, beautifully renovated Marischal College leaving the very ugly, aged, worn St Nicholas derelict. Another ugly spot in the middle of Aberdeen. The plan is to knock it down exposing the equally beautiful Provost Skene House exposed. However, where is ACC going to get the cash to do this? The city is cash strapped so we need funding and this is where Sir Ian Wood can come in.
Sir Wood wants to give something back to the city, leave something beautiful behind that will last forever. The current suggestion is to flatten Union Terrace Gardens, shame really when there is a really ugly area in Aberdeen screaming out to be transformed with the aid of a benefactor who would like to give something back to the City he loves, where better to put a CIVIC SQUARE right in the middle of CIVIC ABERDEEN.
