For the students of the Fall 2007 Acc 2203 class with Bharat Sarath,

The Fall 2007 ACC 2203 class with Professor Sarath was disorganized, confusing, and unfair. Throughout the semester, we dealt with an incompetent professor who was carelessly unaware of the problems in his class. We were given three exams where at least one was graded with an incorrect answer key. Grades were skewed and it appeared that both lecture classes had an 8 (53\%) average grade on our final quiz. Without accurate answer keys, students were unable to see what questions they really got wrong and what areas they needed help in. Students also had to deal with recitation professors who did not return quiz grades in a timely manner. Many of us did not receive our quiz grades before the final November 6th drop date and were forced to remain in the class. One of the biggest problems this semester was Professor Sarath's confusing teaching method. He continuously made errors during lectures and had to be corrected by students several times each class. He also supplied the class with sample exams that had identical questions, and yet had discrepancies in their answers and formulas. This made it difficult for students to know which strategy and answer was correct and how to correctly answer similar exam questions. Overall this class was a mess and we were set up to fail. Professor Sarath and his colleagues made Acc 2203 a difficult and frustrating class.

147. Carmen M | I just want to say that a class without any type of structure shouldn't be the reason people fail this class. It's sad when even the recitation professors say that the tests are designed for us to fail!! When recitation professors can't answer the tests t

138. Chiung Wenc | I agree with most terms except the "set up to fall" part. The quizzes aren't dificult enough to fall this class but the lecture and the unorganization and the zero attention to students' issue is my biggest disatisfication regarding this class. Being in t

132. An Angrys | The first quiz had a question about a material we had not covered yet and Professor Sarath admitted to that. We were never given the solution to the quizzes so that we learn the right way to approach the question. The sample quizzes were suppose to cover
131. Adam M | The class was poorly organized. It was a lot more difficult than it should have been. I think the class would have been better if lecture was twice a week as the recitation was useless.
130. Kenny M | The class was highly disorganized. And overall the course material was not taught well at all.
129. Evelyn L | The class was extremely unorganized and we were often given false and misleading answers/data. Bo Zhang, my recitation professor, did her best to prepare us in spite of this and is a true asset to the accounting department.
