WE SUPPORT FACULTY, STAFF, STUDENTS AND WORKERS IN THE LITERATURE BUILDING
Since 2000, there have been 8 cases of breast cancer in the Literature Building.
A careful medical study of the building completed in June 2008 establishes that:
пї The 8 cases of breast cancer is at 4-5 times the incidence in the general population.
пї The electromagnetic field in the building associated with electrical system and elevator exceeds the safety limit established by many U.S. studies.
пї There is only a 1 in 3,333 chance that the cancer cluster in theLiterature Building has occurred by chance alone.
Faculty, staff, students and workers requested immediate changes to the building to provide a safe workplace. The Chancellor and Senior Vice Chancellor delayed and insisted the report is inconclusive. To this day, we remain endangered by our workplace.
WE, the undersigned, support the Faculty, Staff, Students and Workers in the Literature Building, and ask that the University provide them with a safe workplace.
