The Human Resource Development Ministry, earlier known as Education Ministry of the Govt. of India has taken a decision to introduce Sex education right from Kinder Garden in all Schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education throughout the country from next academic year starting June 2007. This programme has been initiated and developed by the UNICEF, NACO and Govt. of India has given the acceptance to implement it in schools for creating awareness regarding HIV AIDS and to prevent further spread of HIV AIDS
The Government is giving excuse of combating HIV and AIDS menace spreading in the country, as the reason for starting Sex education. The India Government has failed to consider the pros and cons of implementing sex education in schools. Providing Sex education in the name of spreading HIV and AIDS awareness is being introduced under the influence of the west especially the US politicians & business barons, who have funded millions of dollars to our country in the name of HIV-AIDS. The west wants us to follow their pattern of indulging in teenage sex in our country in order to capture the large market for contraceptives and condoms manufactured by the multinational companies of the west so that free sex goes out of bound.
The understanding of mating comes naturally at appropriate age. Since times immemorial, the human race has perpetuated itself, generation after generations. At no point of time the need for sex education has ever been felt. At appropriate age the sexual urge takes place in a natural way and the ways of satisfying it also dawn on living beings in a natural way. The tribal people who live in deep forests away from the modern day humanity also satisfy their sexual urge. Who educates them in sex? The non-human living world also indulges in procreation. Who teaches them all these?
Innocence, lack of pretense and carefreeness is the identity cards of child-hood. Children have their own worlds of emotions. It is an explosive and destructive though to impart sex education to children in their tender age. Such education will be like a bomb blast on its pious world of emotions.
Sex below the age of 16 years does not have social or legal approval. On the contrary, it is prohibited and is a criminal offence u/s 375 of the IPC. Then how absurd it would be to impart education on this subject in an open class-room?
Lets see the 4 staged Psychological Aryan Life Structure described as hereunder:
1. The 1st part of lifespan : Brahmacharyashram.
2. The 2nd part of lifespan : Grahasthashram.
3. The 3rd part of lifespan : Vanprasthashram.
4. The 4th part of lifespan : Sanyasashram.
The weird idea of imparting Sex Education during Brahmacharyashram will make it a play ground of sex. 4 types of maturity are essential to absorb sex education. Physical, intellectual, psychological and social maturity. Any attempt to impart sex education will make a child merely curious, and not educated.
HIV and AIDS have proved to be a major headache for the entire world. There is a growing need to curb this menace. Ignorance about Sex is not the reason for spread of AIDS. On the contrary immoral physical relationship, uncontrolled sexual urge, unnatural sexual activist, arousing of sexual feelings at inappropriate time are mainly responsible.
The main reasons behind these forces are blue films, TV channels relaying indecent contents, phonographic literatures, indecent and all revealing ways of dressing up, celebration of some festivals in ways leading to sexual arousal etc are the real culprits.
We should effectively combat & sternly deal with these forces, which lure and compel the teenagers and the young towards immoral physical relationship after arousing them sexually. These forces need to be identified and controlled. The stage is all set to bombard the tender mind of the child with sex education. If the above culprits are allowed to continue to have a field day, the demon of AIDS will continue unabated and the innocent mind of the child will also keep burning with thought of sex.
There is all likelihood that when a child is bombarded with sex education, he maybe curious to watch a blue-film. His body might slip into abnormality, filled with thoughts about sex. The curiosity to know more and more about sex will supersede his educational pursuit. He will try to obtain pornographic and sex related literature from whatever sources available. His mind will be filled with thoughts of sex all the time. He will not be able to concentrate on his studies and ultimately his academic career will get ruined.
The legal permissible age for marriage for a girl child is 18 years and that of boys is 21 years. There are many who delay their marriage plans in order to pursuit higher studies, having believed that married life will be an obstacle in their career. If sex education is started in schools then untimely curiosity, uncalled experimentation and uncontrolled madness for sex will be created in childs mind and the immature mind will not be able to digest them.
Advocate sex education only if you wish to endanger family atmosphere to such an extent that the parents would be afraid to go out of the house leaving their young and teenage son & daughter alone at home.
What we need to analyze is as hereunder:
Children cannot be given Arms Training to Combat Terrorism.
The need is not of Sex Education, but of Moral education.
What are we aiming at, is it Safe Sexual Relation or Unsafe Character?
Indulgence is not to be taught, control of Indulgence is to be taught.
To Combat Aids, what is needed is Awareness, not Sex Education.
Arouse Hunger and then delay the food: what will be the Result?
Biological Guidance is the Domain of Doctors, not of Teachers.
Sex Education does not fit into our Culture Ethos.
The Disease is worrysome, the Cure is Fatal.
Arent we promoting Adultery by promoting Condoms?
To prevent HIV and AIDS, what we need is to completely abstain ourselves from immoral physical relationship, uncontrolled sexual urge, unnatural sexual activist, arousing of sexual feelings at inappropriate time, which is 100\% safe, what the Govt is trying to preach via sex education is that is correct and consistent use of Condom can prevent STD and HIV AIDS. [Without telling them that a condom can get torn in the act, or it might be defective, hence it is not a 100\% protection against fatal HIV AIDS], it also project that Sex is enjoyable, there is no age bar and it is a way to express ones love. Which can be very disastrous?
About four years ago, the State government made sex education in schools compulsory. Teachers are unwilling to teach the subject. Under section 375 of the IPC, sex with consent or without consent amounts to rape, which is a criminal offence?
A strict control of obscenity in media and internet coupled with Education of Values may go a long way to reduce cases of HIV / AIDS. It is time we accept the fact that HIV AIDS IS CAUSED BY UNPROTECETED SEX, SEX WITHE MULTIPLE PARTNERS. THERE IS NO CURE FOR AIDS BUT ONE- ABSTAIN FROM SEX AND BE FAITHFUL TO ONE PARTNER.
