The responsibility for a marital relationship should rest upon both husband and wife, and not any one particular individual. Forcing a divorced male to give his ex-wife fantastic sums of money at divorce, is an open invitation to other wives to aim for a divorce. Alimony is meaningless in these days of remarriage and infidelity.
Mr. McCartney of the UK has been forced to pay 25 million pounds to his ex-wife of 4 years, just because he had to divorce her! This internationally reported judicial extortion from an ex-husband, can potentially give rise to a false sense of what 'fairness' and 'reality' is, among women in many other parts of the world too.
Hence, we at Save Family Foundation, India, strongly protest at this public display of female appeasement, and hope that corrective measures will be taken soon against what we think is, an obnoxious miscarriage of justice. We also wish to support our brothers in the Men's Movement in the UK.
