To: Mr. Rick Berman, Executive Producer of "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Star Trek X"
We, the undersigned, have learned there are plans to include Kate Mulgrew, who played Captain Kathryn Janeway on "Star Trek: Voyager", in some scenes for the upcoming tenth "Star Trek" film. This appearance will be a wonderful treat to us, who are very loyal "Voyager" and/or Mulgrew fans. This is especially true when we realize that we most likely won't see any of the "Voyager" cast in future "Trek" productions.
Unfortunately, we have also learned there is a rabid attempt to persuade you from keeping Mulgrew out of this film. Their reasoning is not unanimous, but you will find most of them simply did not like "Voyager". But we believe there are many more of us who did enjoy "Voyager".
We implore you not to give in to this attempt by what we feel is a very vocal minority. We believe Mulgrew is a fine actress. We believe her character, as the first female lead of a "Trek" series is somebody who needs to be remembered and celebrated. Please keep our requests in mind.
