Fellow Americans we have much bigger problems than alcohol consumption. I propose there should be no legal drinking age in America. At the age eighteen we are given other adult decision. Fight in war, living on your own, or even sit in a jury. What makes consuming alcohol that much different to set at the age twenty-one? Soldiers in Iraq are dieing everyday and many who are eighteen years old. People will debate that drunk driving is the major issue. Moderation and responsibility needs to be taught to the youth. In other countries moderation is taught at a younger age. Consuming alcohol is presented as not that big of a deal. It's no longer a "mature activity" that all the teenagers want to do in there free time. In addition raising sanctions for driving under the influence is most appropriate when considering the situation. License suspension for driving under the influence should be enforced. With a threat and moderation would be a more effective approach to the situation.
