Standard based grading with out traditional averaged percentages does not transition children to high school. If this system continues into 7th and 8th grade the first time your child will receive a traditional letter grade will be in the 9th grade. High schools do not use this grading system. Standard based grading may provide more information, but the quality of the information is not applicable to the student or parent guide.
