I'm quite sure that along with myself, almost everybody who plays online on Command and Conquer 3 has wanted to make their own private channel. The very low amount of channels that are currently available offer poor privacy for clans and hangouts for friends.
Besides, there are at least 50 or so new players every day, and at that rate all the channels will be full in no time.
