We, members of Los Angeles, propose that the City of Los Angeles installs Smart Meters and/or Pay Stations at all citywide street parking meters.
These will replace the previous coin operated meters with pay stations that will give drivers the opportunity to pay for parking with credit cards or coins (including dollar coins).
This also gives drivers the opportunity to be reminded via text message when their meters will run out.
