County residents ask for resignation

Some Taxpayers in Bell County,Texas are requesting the County Judge, Jon Burrows, County Commissioners, Richard Cortese, Tim Brown,and John Fisher to resign due to the bond election that was voted down twice and code of ethics that was violated:
1. Promote decisions which only benefit the public interests
2. Actively promote public confidence in county government
3. Maintain a positive image to pass constant public scrutiny

Our County Officials have lost the confidence we had in them when they ignored our NO votes on the past two bond elections and they are going ahead with the building of their Courts building and soon the Jail will follow.
They contributed to the PAC (Political Action Committee) that was promoting the Jail/Courts complex that most of the taxpayers was against.

They have spent $785,502.79 to the Architects and without asking the taxpayers.
On the first Bond election they spent $9,737.29 on an insert in the Killeen Daily Herald to inform the taxpayers of what they planned to build.
They have spent $10,000.00 on the option to purchase the land on loop 121.
They have paid off debts in the county and have no intention in giving the taxpayers a cut on their taxes, instead the want to add debt to us so our taxes will be raised.
They will not listen to anything we suggest, they say" We can't do that" or "It will cost more money than building a new one"
They want the taxpayers to fix the existing courts building and let them build a new on on loop 121. We said NO twice. Most of the taxpayers can't afford all of this. At the last meeting we had with the Officials, the Commissioner that attended the meeting, screamed at a taxpayer and we felt it was a personal attack on that taxpayer. We feel that this is unexceptable conduct.
We are asking you to ask for their resignation.
