Since the majority of students at TCU are required to have a meal plan that they are unsatisfied with, TCU should look into improving their dining experience in order to satisfy the needs of the students they serve.
Proposal:
More Dining location options
One specific location is not campus friendly and 1873 is not worth the price we pay.
Pond St. Grill could be the dining facility for Worth Hills and reduce the need for those students to leave their area to return to main campus.
Provide more options to those students who are forced to pick up their lunches. (Nurses, etc.)
Frog Bucks are lovely but it should not come to the point where students utilize Frog Bucks more than they use their meal plan.
Removal of the mandatory meal plan
Most students do not utilize all of their swipes or do not visit the BLUU enough to be cost efficient.
Switch from the buffet style atmosphere
In attempts to leave food out deteriorates the food quality. It is cold or exposed to flies and other unsanitary conditions. Not only is it wasteful, it is not conducive to commuters. You cannot sit and enjoy the presence of your friends who do not have a meal plan. It excludes those students and takes away from their ability to connect with the campus on a daily basis.
Create sanitary eating conditions
Staff does not fit or follow sanitary guidelines.
The plates, bowls and silverware are often dirty and the food is negatively affected by the staffs neglect of sanitary guidelines.
